Kayaks, Sport Yaks, and Stand-up Paddle Boards and Open Canoes are available to hire from Carrick Farm.
The basic equipment hire will consist of a Kayak/Paddle Board/Boat and paddle(s)/ores and buoyancy aid(s) (which must be worn).
Please keep in mind that you will get wet when kayaking. A wet suit or over trousers are available to hire for an additional cost of £5 per person.
If hiring clothing, please let us know the approximate sizes at the time of booking.

The Sportyak 245 is an incredibly stable dinghy thanks to its catamaran hull. It can comfortably accommodate two people. The double rowing position allows you to choose your seating configuration, which can adjust to any size oarsman for efficient rowing without compromising balance.
A stable fun way to get out on the water.
Bluefin Voyage has an ultra-stable design and features two inflatable side chambers for increased stability on the water.
Perfect for surfing, touring, white waterboarding, and fishing. It is a good starter platform for SUP.
Bluefin Cruise 10’8’ SUP is suitable for teenagers through to adults on all types of waters. Due to the larger board size, this SUP is easily capable of accommodating an adult and children or pets.
It is also popular for Yoga and similar activities.
The Aqua Marina Breeze is a good all-around paddleboard. Suited for lighter-weight paddlers or a well-balanced heavier paddler.
Before setting off participants will receive some local information and safety advice but once you set off from Carrick Farm you will be completely independent and enjoy the freedom to explore Loch Goil at your own pace.
Morning and afternoon slots are for a 2-hour maximum duration commencing at 11:00, 13:30, and 16:00. Please arrive 30mins before your session starts time to complete paperwork and vessel introduction.
Please note that the price is per item of equipment Kayak, Boat or Paddle Board (NOT per person).
Carrick Farm reserves the right to charge a penalty should your equipment be returned late.
A £50.00 deposit is required and is returnable on receipt of undamaged on-time equipment.
For non-Carrick Farm residents, we are required to take a copy of your photo ID. Photos will be deleted upon the return of undamaged equipment.
Please contact us if any of your party are approximately 115kg (18Stone 250lb) or more so that we can organise appropriate equipment.
We can accommodate group sizes of up to 40 paddling participants.
